Ethical & Sustainability Promise

From our Budeful beginnings in 2018, we have given a firm commitment to ensure that our company and the products it sells, are as ethical and sustainable as possibe. Our aim has been to create pieces that are not a throw away seasonal fashion or fad.

We made the decision to bring together ethical, luxury and sustainability values that the brand holds dear and align those with bespoke suppliers that could help us deliver this message. 

We believe we have got our messaging right, so that Budeful can stand as a retail business innovator and leader in a world where sustainability and ethical values are more important now than ever before.

Minimal Packaging

One of the most obvious ways that our Budeful message could be supported, was for all packaging in the store to be kept to a minimum. Customers will find that there is little or no packaging on the products available for purchase, only the paper bag that they carry their items home in.

When purchasing Budeful greetings cards for example, there is an eco-friendly envelope and cello wrapper, all of which are fully biodegradable. With the brand store being so close to the sea, this message became an even more important one, as beach cleans are a regular occurrence in a coastal town.

When purchasing products online, each item is packaged in the most sustainable way possible using recycled boxes and packaging materials.

Supply Chain Management

As stated, Budeful is committed to only working with UK based companies that align with our vision for sustainable, low impact and environmentally friendlier manufacturing processes, even if it means a little less profit for the company as a whole. 

 Partnership with Greengeeks

We have now partnered with Greengeeks who on our behalf now manage our hosting requirements. They provide carbon neutral hosting and a tree planting scheme. 

Partnership with Greenspark

We have partnered with Greenspark who on our behalf plant a tree for every single one of our products sold. The table below shows what we have achieved so far.
